KNX in a Svalcon consumer unit

KNX is an open building automation standard in which devices from many manufacturers communicate over a separate control cable (the bus). We supply the consumer unit with a bus power supply, IP interface and actuators — wired, tested and labelled.

KNX or a Smart package?

KNX

A wired bus: push-buttons, sensors and actuators are connected by a separate cable. An open, multi-manufacturer standard — you choose devices without being tied to one brand. It works without the cloud and without the internet. The logic is programmed by an integrator in ETS (the configuration software for KNX devices).

Smart Start / Smart Energy

Control and metering in the consumer unit with a local hub (Home Assistant, Modbus, Matter) — no bus cable in the walls. Easier to add during a renovation, and you can change the settings yourself in the app.

One control system per consumer unit: KNX replaces the Smart Start and Smart Energy packages (Smart Ready can stay).

Who it's for

  • A new house with an installation design — the bus cable goes in together with the wiring.
  • Lots of lighting, scenes, dimming and blinds controlled from push-buttons and an app.
  • Zoned heating and load control alongside solar panels and a home battery.

Three levels

KNX Ready

Bus power supply, IP interface, terminals and labelling — with a free row for actuators. For those who want to start with the groundwork.

Example: 640 mA bus power supply, IP interface — 6 DIN modules.
XL consumer unit with this package from PLN 7,822.80 incl. VAT (provisional price).

KNX Start

Ready + actuators matched to the number of switched and dimmed lighting circuits and blinds, with 20% spare channels.

Example: 640 mA bus power supply, IP interface, 8-channel switch actuator, 4-channel switch actuator, 4-channel universal dimmer, 4-channel blind actuator — 26 DIN modules.
XL consumer unit with this package from PLN 14,280.30 incl. VAT (provisional price).

KNX Energy

Start + an energy meter and load control together with solar panels, a home battery and an EV charger.

Example: 640 mA bus power supply, IP interface, 8-channel switch actuator, 4-channel blind actuator, Three-phase energy meter — 22 DIN modules.
XL consumer unit with this package from PLN 15,362.70 incl. VAT (provisional price).

How working with an integrator works

  1. Circuit list — from the design or your electrician: how many lighting circuits (switched and dimmed) and how many blinds.
  2. Choosing actuators — in the configurator, with spare channels; you see the price straight away.
  3. Consumer unit — wired and tested, with the devices' physical addresses and a channel schedule (which channel controls which circuit).
  4. Programming and commissioning — a certified integrator partner programs the logic in ETS at your home (a separate item in the quote, or an individual quote for large installations).
  5. Documentation — after commissioning you get the ETS project file and a description of the installation.

Who does the programming — an integrator partner or the Svalcon team — we'll confirm when verifying your order.

Large installation, your own integrator or an ETS project? Describe it in the form and we'll prepare a quote.

Configure a consumer unit with KNX

Enter the number of lighting and blind circuits — we'll choose the actuators with spare capacity.
